Il mercato del Milan continua ad essere molto attento anche al reparto difensivo: oltre a Sven Botman del Lille, da tempo obiettivo del Diavolo, i rossoneri studiano da vicino la situazione riguardante Manuel Akanji del Borussia Dortmund.
Akanji: le caratteristiche del giocatore
Parliamo di un nazionale svizzero di origini nigeriane che milita nella formazione della Ruhr dalla stagione 2017-18. Dopo un periodo iniziale di ambientamento, si è definitivamente preso la scena diventando titolare dei gialloneri. Si tratta di un difensore centrale forte fisicamente, con ottime doti atletiche e molto abile in marcatura. Un goal in 23 presenze nell’attuale stagione di Bundesliga: complici alcuni problemi fisici, infatti, è stato costretto a saltare qualche match.
Considerato il ruolo ricoperto, parliamo di un giocatore ancora molto giovane (classe 1995) e che potrebbe dunque far comodo dalle parti di Milanello; soprattutto visto il quasi certo addio di Romagnoli e le incognite riguardanti il recupero di Simon Kjaer.
Un’operazione potenzialmente vantaggiosa
Akanji, dal canto suo, non disdegnerebbe affatto un’esperienza altrove dopo 5 stagioni passate in Germania. Il suo contratto scade nel giugno del 2023 e non si è ancora parlato di rinnovo; una situazione da cui potenzialmente il Milan può trarre vantaggio, aggiudicandosi le prestazioni del centrale svizzero senza esborsi eccessivi. Va specificato che l’operazione non sarebbe legata alla missione rossonera per Botman. Il centrale del Lille rimane l’obiettivo principale: Akanji sarebbe un plus, comunque in grado di rimpiazzare al meglio eventuali assenze nel reparto.

Vi è infine da sottolineare un ulteriore aspetto: il Dortmund si è già assicurato le prestazioni di due centrali come Niklas Süle (dal Bayern) e Nico Schlotterbeck (dal Friburgo). Ciò toglierebbe inevitabilmente spazio ad Akanji, consentendo al Diavolo di monitorare attentamente le circostanze per eventualmente affondare il colpo decisivo nei prossimi mesi.
