Investcorp è un fondo da 40 miliardi di dollari nato nel 1982, con sede in Bahrain ma con sedi in tante città del mondo (New York, Londra, Doha, Singapore…). E’ un gestore globale di prodotti d’investimento alternativi (37,6 miliardi di dollari di asset in gestione), e dà lavoro a circa 460 persone con nazionalità di tutto il mondo.
Il fondo si occupa principalmente di private equity, mercato immobiliare, investimenti a ritorno assoluto, infrastrutture e gestione del credito.
Mohammed Bin Mahfoodh Alardhi è il presidente esecutivo e alla guida della società dal 2015. E’ stato consigliere di amministrazione del Consiglio Investcorp dal 2008.

In tal senso sono molto importanti le parole di Neil Hasson, managing director di Investcorp European Real Estate, rilasciate al Sole 24 Ore lo scorso 23 marzo:
“Abbiamo sempre visto un enorme potenziale in Italia. Abbiamo iniziato con partnership con brand come Gucci e Riva e nel tempo il mercato ha confermato di essere dinamico e con significative opportunità. Continuiamo a vedere l’Italia e l’Europa come una regione prioritaria per i nostri investimenti nel real estate”.
Investcorp vuole dunque investire in Europa, in Italia. Ed più precisamente, ora, anche nel calcio, con il Milan come obiettivo.
